Is head of the Center for Advanced Studies at EURAC research and Professor of Tourism and Entrepreneurship at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. After completing his doctoral studies in social and economic sciences at the University of Innsbruck, he worked in tourism practice as head of the Tourism Department of the South Tyrolean Provincial Government as well as the Südtirol Tourismus Werbung.
He is president of AIEST (Association Internationale D’Experts Scientifiques Du Tourisme) and adjunct research professor at Curtin University in Perth / Western Australia. Since 2016, Harald Pechlaner has been a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Harald Pechlaner also works as a scientific director at the Federal Tourism Competence Center in Berlin.
