Managing Director of the Gran Canaria Tourism Board
Pablo Linares has been the Managing Director of the Gran Canaria Tourism Board for the past 6 years. Graduate in Business Management and Administration by the CEU San Pablo University and Executive MBA by the International Institute Bravo Murillo, currently he is a PhD student in Tourism, Economy and Management by the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain).
He started his career as both auditor and consultant for the multinationals PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young respectively, where he had the opportunity of starting to relate himself with Canary businesses within the tourist industry. Over 8 years later, he took the leap of the tourist management leadership and became Managing Director of the Salobre Golf & Resort, an extra hotel resort with 2 golf courses which belongs to the Canary Satocan Group. Having spent 4 years in that position he moved on to promoting the tourist industry as Manager of Gran Canaria Golf, a promotional tourist joint brand between the Canary Tourism Board and the Canary golf industry concerning this product. Finally and at present, he chairs the Gran Canaria Tourism Board.
