Alejandro Marichal Ramos

Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Town Planning, Heritage, Patrimonial Liability and Housing of the Town Council of the Town of San Bartolomé de Tirajana

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

During his time as a labour law advisor, he was a member of the Technical Negotiating Committee of the Las Palmas Provincial Hotel and Catering Sector Agreement, signed on 24 October 2012, and was involved in the negotiation and subsequent approval of the Equality Plans of Lopesan Villa del Conde, Lopesan Baobab Resort and Ifa Buenaventura Hotel.

Subsequently, for a year, he was a lawyer-collaborator of a prestigious law firm in the Canary Islands, specialising in labour law.

In October 2015, he was appointed Managing Director of Hoteles Escuela de Canarias until October 2017. He also formed part of the technical committee responsible for drafting the Technical Guide of Good Practices for the evaluation and management of ergonomic and psychosocial risks in the hotel sector in the Canary Islands.

In November 2017 he was appointed Director General of Coordination of the Vice-Presidency of the Canary Islands Government, until June 2019.

He is currently the Second Deputy Mayor of the Town Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Councillor for Urban Planning and Tourism.
